Our three Blue Laced Red Wyandotte hens arrived in November 2019:  Vada, Graylie, and Bertha

Wendell arrived in August 2020. He was a barnyard mix that wandered his way to our farm. In September 2020, we placed five eggs fertilized by Wendell into our brand new incubator. On October 20, two chicks were born. We’re not sure who the mama hen is but we’re guessing it’s Graylie. The names McDonald and KFC were selected for the chicks by Jenn’s brother. Micki had a congenital issue that caused her death but Kaci is doing great!

In December 2020, we placed six eggs into the incubator. These blue and green eggs came from a local farm. On January 2, two Easter Egger chicks were born. A late hatch arrived on January 3. The names Coco, Bruce, and Osman were given to the chicks. They were rehomed.

On Valentine’s Day, we purchased two Buff Orpington chicks from our local farm and garden center. We named the girls Valentina and Katrina.
